Hung tran

Hung has been in clinical practice for over 25 years and is based in Marylebone and the Lake District. A pioneering teacher of advanced acupuncture and a lifelong seeker of Truth, Hung emphasises the importance of self cultivation and integration as key to being an effective clinician.

Born in Vietnam, Hung was introduced to the power of Oriental medicine after contracting polio at 6 months old. A kind physician averted the devastating effects of this condition, not only saving his life but literally changing the course of it.

Growing up in the UK and qualifying as a medical doctor, Hung discovered that Western medicine offered very little in terms of preventative health or empowering individuals to care for themselves. The turning point was meeting his first teacher and mentor of Oriental medicine, Master Nguyen Tinh Thong, with whom he apprenticed for 10 years, developing a great affinity with acupuncture.

Meeting Dr Jeffery Yuen, an authentic lineage master of Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM), and studying with Ann Cecil-Sterman, a senior student of Jeffrey’s, catalysed within Hung a deep fascination and long term exploration of this highly evolved system of medicine. He is one of the earliest teachers appointed by Ann to teach the advanced channel system of acupuncture. In 2017 he pioneered the first mentorship programme in the UK & Europe in advanced acupuncture. Hung’s passion is to disrupt limitation and awaken greatness through facilitating mico-mental shifts in awareness.
